Dr. Silverman grew up in Long Island, NY, where he acquired an interest in dentistry at a young age. He was mentored by his uncle, a successful local dentist. He pursued his interest in dentistry at Columbia University School of Dental & Oral Surgery, completing his residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. While there, he realized his dream of building on that foundation by becoming a medical doctor as well. His dual licensing as an oral surgeon (DDS) and medical doctor (MD) gives him extensive qualifications to treat the most complex cases.

Dr. Silverman enjoys the hands-on nature of oral surgery and pursues continuing education to continually provide his patients with the latest advancements in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Recognizing the serious nature of oral surgery, Dr. Silverman strives to engage personally with his patients and put them at ease throughout their treatment. His warm bedside manner is one reason his patients often refer their family and friends to his care.

Practice & Accolades

Dr. Silverman has been in private practice for over 27 years as a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, the highest recognition in the field. He has also served on various dental and oral surgery boards as committee chair or president and has been NJ Monthly’s Top Dentist every year since 2005. He is the official Oral Surgeon for the New York Jets.

Outside the Office

When not meeting with patients or performing surgery, Dr. Silverman enjoys family life with his wife and three children. He is an avid fisher and physical fitness buff who likes weight training, long walks, and gardening. He also enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes for family and friends.
